I thought I'd share a few things that have caught my attention recently in the interiors world, along with a small update from my own home. I always like to keep my ear to the ground about interior trends and which ones I think will be around for a long time and some I believe you should avoid as they will date too quickly!
Vintage Pieces Are Back!
This has been coming in for a while now especially in 2025 but it has made me so happy to see people lean into a more vintage look. Thrifting antiques and introducing quality craftsmanship back into homes.
Lighting Becoming More Decorative
Lighting is increasingly being treated as a design feature in its own right rather than just something functional. Sculptural lamps, picture lights and wall lighting are appearing in more interiors. Lighting is such a massive factor in interior design and it is so nice to see a more mass market approach to lighting that is more affordable!
Tip From A Designer
If you're trying to make a room feel more interesting, adding just one vintage piece can make a surprising difference. It breaks up the feeling of everything being new and adds a little soul to the space. Even something small like an old frame, mirror or side table can change the balance of a room.
